When we started our first business and built it to a point where projects and tasks were piling over our heads, we were extremely overwhelmed. Through the 7+ years that we’ve been growing our companies, we’ve been exposed to the power of hiring freelancers to complement your founding team. We learned how to hire freelancers and have hired hundreds of remote workers to fill in holes within our companies where we couldn’t pay attention any longer.
Today, we continue to run our first eCommerce business with a team of 10+ skilled freelancers handling everything from fulfilling orders to optimizing listings for Amazon SEO. With FreeeUp, we have an internal team of over 30 freelancers who specialize in the areas that drive growth for our business. As the owners of the company, we stay focused on growth projects and motivating our team to continue moving forward in innovative ways.
But it took time to get there. We spent 2+ years learning the best practices of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and managing freelancers running into many horror stories along the way.
Our Goal in Creating This Blog
When we decided to start FreeeUp, our mission was to eliminate the horror stories for other business owners by pre-vetting all freelancers upfront. In creating this blog, we set a goal to educate our clients and outside business owners on the secrets to hiring the right people, staying focused on growth initiatives, and managing through sound communication.
We concluded that if we could teach other business owners what we had learned about hiring freelancers, we would be able to minimize the horror stories and create a community where outsourcing became a strength for all.

While all of the content on our blog is free, we do offer the ability to hire freelancers for hourly rates between $5 and $50 per hour. All freelancers in our network are put through an application, interview, and testing process to ensure they are the top 1% online.
